Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform surgical procedures for the treatment of neurological disorders, including brain tumors, spinal cord tumors, cerebrovascular diseases, traumatic brain injuries, and congenital anomalies of the central nervous system.
  • Conduct preoperative assessments and evaluations of patients with neurological conditions, including review of medical history, neurological examination, interpretation of diagnostic imaging studies, and consultation with other specialists as needed.
  • Plan and execute surgical treatment plans for neurological patients, utilizing advanced surgical techniques and technologies to achieve optimal surgical outcomes while minimizing risks and complications.
  • Perform a wide range of neurosurgical procedures, including craniotomies, spinal surgeries, stereotactic procedures, endoscopic surgeries, and minimally invasive techniques, tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
  • Coordinate care with neurologists, neuro radiologists, neuro intensivists, anesthesiologists, critical care nurses, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.
  • Provide perioperative care to neurosurgical patients, including optimization of neurological function, management of pain and discomfort, prevention of surgical site infections, and postoperative monitoring and rehabilitation.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences, tumor boards, and clinical discussions to collaborate on treatment planning, review complex cases, and optimize patient management strategies.
  • Educate patients and their families about neurosurgical treatment options, potential risks and benefits, expected outcomes, and postoperative care instructions, facilitating shared decision-making and informed consent.
  • Stay updated on advances in neurosurgery, neuroimaging, neurocritical care, and evidence-based practices through continuous medical education and professional development activities.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Qualifications:
  • Medical degree (DNB/MS/MCh) with specialization in Neurosurgery from a recognized institution.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Gujarat, India.
  • Minimum of [insert number of years] years of clinical experience as a Neurosurgeon, preferably in a hospital or neurosurgical center setting.
  • Proven expertise in performing complex neurosurgical procedures and managing neurological conditions.
