Description
- Conduct outpatient consultations in the clinic, addressing a diverse range of medical issues, performing examinations, and formulating treatment plans to ensure comprehensive and personalized patient care.
- Conduct visits to inpatient (IP) wards, involving thorough assessments, monitoring treatment progress, and collaborating with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care for hospitalized patients.
- Provide guidance on diagnostic investigations, recommending and interpreting tests to aid in the accurate diagnosis and management of medical conditions for optimal patient care.
- Offer recommendations for surgical interventions, providing patients with informed advice on the necessity, potential benefits, and risks of undergoing surgery as part of their overall medical treatment plan.
- Facilitate appropriate patient care by making referrals to a neurologist or other specialized consultants as necessary, ensuring comprehensive evaluation and management of specific medical conditions.
- Provide supportive counseling to the relatives of patients, offering empathetic guidance, clear communication, and information to help them cope with the medical situation and make informed decisions.
- Ensure accurate and organized documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and medical interventions, adhering to regulatory standards and protocols to support effective communication and continuity of care.
- Complete medical forms thoroughly and accurately, providing essential patient information, medical history, and treatment details in a clear and organized manner to facilitate proper record-keeping and administrative processes.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies, applying critical assessment and intervention skills to deliver immediate and effective care, ensuring patient stabilization and optimizing outcomes in urgent situations.
- Conduct comprehensive training sessions for Diplomate of National Board (DNB) trainees, imparting clinical knowledge, skills, and professional insights to foster their development as competent medical practitioners.
