Description

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with neurological complaints, including detailed medical history review, thorough neurological examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests such as MRI, CT scans, EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies, and lumbar punctures.
Diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological conditions, including but not limited to stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, neuropathies, movement disorders, headaches, and neuromuscular disorders.
Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific condition, medical history, risk factors, and preferences, which may include medication management, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and surgical interventions.
Perform neurological procedures and interventions as needed, including lumbar punctures, nerve conduction studies, electromyography (EMG), botulinum toxin injections for spasticity, and deep brain stimulation (DBS) procedures.
Provide patient education on neurological health, including disease management, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and strategies for coping with neurological symptoms and disabilities.
Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including neurosurgeons, radiologists, psychiatrists, primary care physicians, physical therapists, and occupational therapists, to provide coordinated and multidisciplinary care for patients.
Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes, including participation in research studies and clinical trials.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in neurology through continuing medical education, attendance at conferences, and engagement in research activities.
