Description

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history reviews, neurological examinations, and symptom evaluations, to diagnose and evaluate neurological disorders.
Perform and interpret neurodiagnostic tests and procedures, including EEGs, EMGs, nerve conduction studies, MRI scans, CT scans, and lumbar punctures, to aid in the diagnosis and monitoring of neurological conditions.
Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with neurological disorders, incorporating medical management, lifestyle modifications, rehabilitation therapy, and surgical interventions as appropriate.
Prescribe and adjust medications to manage symptoms and slow the progression of neurological diseases, such as epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and migraine headaches.
Perform specialized procedures, such as nerve blocks, botulinum toxin injections, and deep brain stimulation, with proficiency and attention to patient safety.
Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including primary care physicians, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, neuropsychologists, and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients.
Educate patients and their families about neurological conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures, and address any questions or concerns they may have.
Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and meetings to discuss complex cases, formulate treatment plans, and coordinate care for patients with neurological disorders.
