Neurologist

Responsibilities:

• Prescribe and/or administer treatment and medication related to neurological disorders.
• Monitor the behavioral and cognitive side effects of treatment and medication.
• Order supportive care services for patients.
• Participate in neuroscience research activities.
• Liaise with medical professionals in the community and other hospitals.
• Conduct thorough neurological evaluations and assessments of patients, including medical history review, physical examination, and interpretation of diagnostic tests and imaging studies.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of neurological conditions, developing individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines and patient preferences.
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and interventions to manage symptoms, improve functional outcomes, and slow disease progression in patients with neurological disorders.
• Perform and interpret specialized diagnostic procedures, including electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction studies, and lumbar puncture, as needed for diagnostic purposes.
