Description

  • Diagnose and manage kidney diseases and disorders, including chronic kidney disease (CKD), acute kidney injury (AKI), nephrotic syndrome, and glomerulonephritis.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures such as kidney biopsies, ultrasound examinations, and lab tests to assess kidney function and identify underlying conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including managing medications, dialysis, and addressing co-morbidities like hypertension and diabetes.
  • Provide care for patients undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, ensuring proper administration and monitoring of treatments.
  • Assist in kidney transplantation procedures, including pre-transplant evaluation, donor compatibility assessments, and post-transplant care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including cardiologists, endocrinologists, and dietitians, for comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients on kidney health, preventive measures, dietary changes, and the importance of lifestyle modifications to prevent progression of kidney disease.
  • Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjust treatment plans as needed, and address complications such as fluid imbalances and electrolyte disturbances.
