Description

Diagnose and treat a wide range of kidney-related conditions, including chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, kidney stones, and electrolyte disorders.
Conduct comprehensive assessments and interpret diagnostic tests such as kidney biopsies, urinalysis, and imaging studies (ultrasound, CT scans).
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management, dialysis prescriptions, and dietary recommendations.
Perform procedures such as kidney biopsies, peritoneal dialysis catheter placements, and vascular access procedures for hemodialysis.
Monitor and manage the ongoing care of patients with kidney diseases, adjusting treatment plans based on patient response and clinical outcomes.
Educate patients and their families on kidney health, disease management, and lifestyle modifications.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including nephrology nurses, dialysis technicians, transplant coordinators, and other specialists.
Consult and coordinate care with primary care physicians, urologists, endocrinologists, and other healthcare providers as needed.
Manage dialysis treatments for patients requiring hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis, ensuring treatment adequacy and patient safety.
