Description

Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and assessments of patients with kidney diseases, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, glomerular diseases, electrolyte disorders, and hypertension.
Interpret clinical data, laboratory tests, imaging studies, and renal biopsies to diagnose kidney-related conditions accurately and develop individualized treatment plans.
Manage patients requiring renal replacement therapy, including haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), ensuring optimal dialysis prescription and management of complications.
Evaluate and manage kidney transplant candidates, including pre-transplant assessment, immunosuppressive therapy, and post-transplant care, in collaboration with transplant teams.
Provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing kidney transplantation, including monitoring for rejection, managing immunosuppressive therapy, and addressing post-transplant complications.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nephrology nurses, transplant coordinators, dietitians, social workers, and pharmacists, to provide coordinated and holistic care for nephrology patients.
Educate patients and their families about kidney disease, treatment options, medication adherence, dietary modifications, and lifestyle changes to promote kidney health and improve outcomes.
Participate in nephrology consultations, multidisciplinary rounds, and clinical conferences to discuss complex cases, treatment plans, and patient care coordination.
