<ul><li>Diagnose and treat newborns with conditions such as prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome, infections, congenital anomalies, and other critical health issues.</li><li>Perform comprehensive physical examinations of newborns to identify any immediate health concerns.</li><li>Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as blood tests, imaging studies, and echocardiograms.</li><li>Provide advanced care to critically ill or premature infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).</li><li>Monitor and manage the infant’s respiratory, cardiovascular, and nutritional status.</li><li>Administer specialized treatments, including mechanical ventilation, surfactant therapy, and total parenteral nutrition (TPN).</li><li>Perform neonatal procedures such as intubation, central line placement, umbilical catheterization, lumbar puncture, and exchange transfusions.</li><li>Conduct and manage resuscitation efforts for newborns in critical condition during or after delivery.</li></ul>
