Description

  • We are looking for a dedicated Neonatologist to provide expert medical care to newborn infants in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). 
  • The successful candidate will have a strong background in neonatology and a passion for improving the health outcomes of premature and critically ill new-borns.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to new-born infants admitted to the NICU, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of various neonatal conditions.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including pediatricians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other specialists, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for neonatal patients.
  • Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures, such as blood tests, imaging studies, and specialized neonatal assessments.
  • Provide guidance and support to families of neonatal patients, including counseling on medical conditions, treatment options, and discharge planning.
  • Participate in medical rounds, case conferences, and educational activities to enhance clinical knowledge and promote best practices in neonatal care.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and academic activities related to neonatology.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics with a specialization in Neonatology (DM/DNB) from a reputed university or board.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Kerala, India.
  • Minimum of [X] years of clinical experience in neonatology, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Strong clinical skills in the assessment and management of neonatal conditions, including respiratory distress, sepsis, congenital anomalies, and prematurity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate complex medical information to patients and families.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of neonatology.
