Description
- Transcribe dictations, including medical histories, diagnostic reports, discharge summaries, and operative notes, into well-formatted and accurate medical documents.
- Edit transcriptions for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity while ensuring compliance with medical terminology and protocols.
- Maintain patient records, organize files, and ensure accurate data entry in relevant systems.
- Prepare and send medical reports, prescriptions, or other necessary documents to the appropriate departments or patients.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence, including courier services.
- Coordinate meetings, conferences, and other professional engagements as needed.
- Ensure the smooth flow of office activities by assisting with basic clerical tasks like filing, photocopying, scanning, and managing supplies.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare industry regulations, including HIPAA and other patient privacy laws.
- Ensure all transcriptions are free of errors and follow up with healthcare professionals on unclear or incomplete dictations.
