Description

Operate MRI equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures according to established protocols and physician orders.
Position patients correctly and comfortably on the MRI table, using immobilization devices and positioning aids as needed to ensure optimal image quality.
Explain MRI procedures to patients, address their concerns, and provide reassurance and support to minimize anxiety and discomfort during imaging.
Monitor patients during MRI procedures, observing for any adverse reactions or changes in condition, and take appropriate action to ensure patient safety.
Select and set appropriate imaging parameters, sequences, and scan protocols based on the specific diagnostic requirements and anatomical areas being imaged.
Ensure proper functioning and calibration of MRI equipment, performing routine maintenance checks, troubleshooting technical issues, and reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
Review patient medical histories and screening forms to identify any contraindications or factors that may affect the safety or effectiveness of MRI procedures.
Collaborate with radiologists and physicians to review imaging results, provide additional images or sequences as requested, and assist with image interpretation and analysis as needed.
