Description

Medical Records Management: Collect, organize, and maintain patients' medical records, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly filed.
Data Entry: Input patient information, treatment details, diagnostic reports, and other relevant medical data into electronic health record (EHR) systems or paper-based systems.
Record Retrieval: Retrieve and provide medical records as requested by authorized personnel, such as doctors, nurses, and administrative staff, ensuring timely access to necessary information.
Confidentiality and Security: Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information by following hospital policies and legal regulations, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
Compliance with Regulations: Maintain compliance with hospital, legal, and regulatory requirements regarding the management and retention of medical records.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and provide reports on patient admissions, discharges, transfers, and other relevant healthcare statistics to assist with hospital administration and decision-making.
Archiving and Disposal: Organize the safe storage, archiving, and disposal of outdated or inactive medical records in accordance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
Continuing Education: Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices, technology, and regulations in medical records management.
