Description

Manage and maintain electronic and paper-based medical records according to established protocols and regulatory requirements.
Retrieve and compile patient medical records for healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other authorized parties as needed.
Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of patient information in medical records, adhering to HIPAA regulations and other privacy laws.
Organize and file medical records in a systematic manner to facilitate easy retrieval and efficient record-keeping.
Update and enter patient demographic and clinical data into electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately and in a timely manner.
Assist healthcare providers and administrative staff in locating and accessing patient records for patient care, billing, and administrative purposes.
Process requests for release of medical information, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards and obtaining necessary authorization from patients or their legal representatives.
Perform periodic audits and reviews of medical records to ensure compliance with documentation standards and quality assurance measures.
