  • Microbial Analysis: Conduct microbiological tests and analysis of samples (e.g., food, water, pharmaceuticals, or environmental samples) to identify and study microorganisms.
  • Quality Control & Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations by monitoring microbial contamination and conducting routine testing in production or laboratory settings.
  • Sample Collection & Processing: Collect, prepare, and process samples for microbial testing, using sterile techniques and proper laboratory protocols.
  • Data Recording & Reporting: Document findings, maintain accurate lab records, and prepare detailed reports on microbial growth, test results, and contamination levels.
  • Lab Equipment Maintenance: Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment such as autoclaves, incubators, and microscopes to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Research & Development: Participate in or support research projects to develop new methods, products, or solutions for microbiological challenges, such as infection control or disease prevention.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Follow biosafety and biosecurity protocols to ensure a safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaboration & Training: Work closely with other scientists, lab technicians, or production teams and provide training or guidance to junior staff on microbiological techniques and procedures.
