Description

Perform routine environmental monitoring (EM) activities, including air, surface, and water sampling, at designated locations within the manufacturing facility according to established sampling plans and schedules.
Collect environmental samples aseptically using appropriate sampling techniques and equipment, and transport samples to the microbiology laboratory for analysis.
Conduct microbial testing and analysis of environmental samples using microbiological methods such as membrane filtration, surface swabbing, and air monitoring.
Interpret microbiological test results, including colony counts, identification of microbial contaminants, and trending analysis, to assess the cleanliness and microbial control of the manufacturing environment.
Investigate and document environmental excursions, out-of-specification (OOS) results, and microbial contamination events, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) as needed.
Maintain accurate and complete records of environmental monitoring activities, test results, investigations, and corrective actions in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Prepare environmental monitoring reports summarizing findings, trends, and recommendations for review by management and regulatory agencies.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, optimization of sampling techniques, and enhancement of environmental monitoring programs to reduce contamination risks and improve microbial control.
Provide training to manufacturing personnel on environmental monitoring procedures, aseptic techniques, and hygiene practices to promote awareness and compliance with quality standards.
