Description
- Listen to voice recordings made by healthcare providers (doctors, nurses, etc.) and accurately transcribe them into written reports.
- Convert medical jargon, abbreviations, and terminology into clear, understandable text while ensuring that all medical documentation is complete and accurate.
- Ensure that reports are transcribed in accordance with the healthcare facility’s formatting standards and guidelines.
- Review and edit transcriptions for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity.
- Verify the accuracy of medical information, such as patient details, medications, diagnoses, and procedures.
- Flag any inconsistencies or errors in medical documentation and communicate with healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure that all transcriptions adhere to industry standards for medical terminology and legal documentation.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) or local equivalents to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Stay updated on new medical terminology, healthcare procedures, and evolving regulations.
