Description

Listen to recorded dictations by healthcare professionals and accurately transcribe medical reports, including patient histories, physical examinations, consultations, operative reports, and discharge summaries.
Format transcribed documents according to established guidelines and ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy in medical terminology and patient information.
Review transcriptions for errors in grammar, punctuation, and medical terminology. Ensure compliance with legal and confidentiality requirements.
Maintain proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to accurately interpret and transcribe medical dictations.
Enter transcribed medical data into electronic health records (EHR) or other documentation systems as required.
Prioritize and manage workload to meet transcription deadlines and turnaround times.
Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of transcription accuracy and efficiency.
Coordinate with healthcare providers, medical coders, and other healthcare professionals to clarify information and ensure completeness of medical records.
