Description
- Transcribe medical dictations accurately and efficiently, including but not limited to patient histories, physical examination reports, operative notes, consultations, and discharge summaries.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness in transcribed documents, including correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting, following established transcription guidelines and standards.
- Review and edit transcribed documents as needed to clarify unclear dictations, correct errors, and ensure accuracy in medical terminology and clinical information.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information and medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
- Prioritize transcription tasks based on urgency, complexity, and deadlines, managing workload effectively to meet productivity targets and turnaround times.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, transcription team members, and administrative staff as needed to clarify dictations, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Stay updated on medical terminology, transcription guidelines, and industry best practices through ongoing education and training to improve transcription skills and performance.
