Description

  • Conduct thorough consultations with patients to obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations.
  • Discuss treatment options, potential side effects, and expected outcomes with patients and their families.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including biopsies, imaging studies, and laboratory tests, to determine the type and stage of cancer.
  • Collaborate with pathologists, radiologists, and other specialists in the diagnostic process.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for cancer patients, incorporating surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and/or radiation therapy as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Administer chemotherapy and other systemic treatments.
  • Monitor patients for treatment response and manage treatment-related side effects.
  • Participate in and oversee clinical trials, offering eligible patients opportunities to access innovative treatments.
  • Stay informed about ongoing research and contribute to advancements in cancer care.
