Description

Conduct thorough consultations with patients to obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations.
Discuss treatment options, potential side effects, and expected outcomes with patients and their families.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including biopsies, imaging studies, and laboratory tests, to determine the type and stage of cancer.
Collaborate with pathologists, radiologists, and other specialists in the diagnostic process.
Develop individualized treatment plans for cancer patients, incorporating surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and/or radiation therapy as appropriate.
Collaborate with surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive care.
Administer chemotherapy and other systemic treatments.
Monitor patients for treatment response and manage treatment-related side effects.
Participate in and oversee clinical trials, offering eligible patients opportunities to access innovative treatments.
Stay informed about ongoing research and contribute to advancements in cancer care.
