Description

Diagnose and manage a wide range of gastrointestinal (GI) disorders and conditions, including but not limited to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), liver diseases, pancreatic disorders, and gastrointestinal cancers.
Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and capsule endoscopy.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and review of diagnostic tests (e.g., imaging studies, laboratory tests).
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on clinical findings, test results, and evidence-based guidelines, ensuring continuity of care for patients.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide integrated care for patients requiring complex GI management, including coordination with surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and nutritionists.
Educate patients and their families about GI conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures, ensuring informed decision-making and adherence to treatment plans.
Participate in clinical research, scholarly activities, and quality improvement initiatives to advance gastroenterology knowledge and enhance patient care outcomes.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and supervision to medical students, residents, and fellows in gastroenterology training programs.
