Medical Director
- Base: Hyderabad | Covers: Hyderabad, Vizag, Bengaluru, Mumbai & other hubs Reports to: COO
- Mission: Safeguard clinical accuracy and compliance while enabling high‑volume, high‑quality testing with cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities (essentials)
- Report authorization; set autoverification, reflex, and critical value policies.
- Own ISO 15189/NABL QMS: SOP approval, method verification/validation, change control.
- Oversee IQC/EQA (Westgard/LJ), review z‑scores, close CAPAs on time.
- Approve reference ranges; lead RCA for discordant/repeat results.
- Clinician consults, CMEs, and utilization guidance.
- Mentor biochemists/techs; define competencies and credentialing.
KPIs
- EQA within acceptable z‑scores; QC breaks resolved ≤24h.
- Critical calls ≤15 min (95th percentile).
- Autoverification ≥70% for stable assays; repeat rates within targets.
Qualifications
- MBBS + MD Pathology; eligible NABL signatory.
- Prior experience with multi location labs.
- Can work in a fast paced environment.
- Multi‑site/reference lab experience preferred.
- 3 to 4 Hours Per Day
