Job Summary: - BCRI is seeking a committed and knowledgeable Medical Coding Trainer for our campus at HSR Layout Sector 1, Bangalore.
- The trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical coding education and guiding students toward certification and employment success.
Responsibilities: - Deliver comprehensive training in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Prepare students for CPC, CCS, or CCA certification exams
- Design, update, and manage course materials and assessments
- Evaluate student progress and provide mentorship
- Conduct mock tests and feedback sessions
- Stay updated on industry trends and coding guideline changes
- Support placement efforts by enhancing students’ readiness for interviews
- Coordinate with internal teams for seamless academic operations
Qualifications: - Degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or equivalent healthcare field
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or similar certification (CCA, CCS) is mandatory
- Minimum 2 years of medical coding experience
- At least 1 year of experience in teaching, training, or mentoring
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and coding systems
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Preferred Skills: - Exposure to both inpatient and outpatient coding
- Understanding of healthcare revenue cycle management
- Experience with audit, denial management, or billing workflows
- Comfortable with digital tools and online teaching platforms
