Description

Designing Mechanical Systems: Develop conceptual and detailed designs for mechanical systems, components, and equipment using CAD software. Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
Engineering Analysis: Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and finite element analysis (FEA) to assess the structural integrity, thermal performance, and dynamic behavior of mechanical designs.
Prototyping and Testing: Create prototypes and conduct tests to validate design concepts, evaluate performance, and identify areas for improvement. Analyze test data and iterate designs as necessary.
Materials and Manufacturing Selection: Select appropriate materials, manufacturing processes, and production techniques for mechanical components, considering factors such as cost, performance, and sustainability.
Documentation and Reporting: Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, drawings, and test reports. Communicate findings, recommendations, and project status to stakeholders and team members.
Project Management: Manage engineering projects from concept to completion, including defining project scope, establishing timelines, allocating resources, and coordinating activities with cross-functional teams.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations relevant to mechanical engineering, such as ASME, ASTM, and ISO standards.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for innovation, cost reduction, and process optimization within mechanical design and manufacturing processes. Implement best practices and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
