Description

Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests, to establish accurate diagnoses and develop personalized treatment plans for adult patients.
Provide primary medical care and ongoing management for patients with chronic medical conditions, acute illnesses, and complex multisystem diseases, including but not limited to diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and respiratory disorders.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests, imaging studies, and cardiac investigations, to evaluate patients' health status, monitor disease progression, and assess treatment response.
Prescribe medications, initiate treatment regimens, and coordinate referrals to specialists and allied healthcare providers as needed to optimize patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care.
Monitor patients' progress, vital signs, and response to treatment, and make adjustments to treatment plans accordingly, in collaboration with patients and their families.
Provide patient education and counseling on preventive healthcare measures, lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and self-management strategies to promote wellness and improve patients' quality of life.
Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, pharmacists, therapists, and social workers, to coordinate patient care, facilitate transitions of care, and ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Document patient encounters, medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHRs) and other clinical documentation systems.
Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to review clinical cases, discuss best practices, and enhance the quality and safety of patient care.
