Job description
- Leadership and Supervision:
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff members during assigned shifts.
- Coordinate with department heads to ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular rounds to assess the performance of staff and address any concerns promptly.
- Emergency Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for emergencies and incidents during shifts.
- Activate emergency response protocols as necessary and coordinate with relevant departments.
- Ensure the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff during crisis situations.
- Patient Care and Satisfaction:
- Monitor patient flow and address any issues related to patient care or comfort.
- Respond to patient inquiries, complaints, or requests for assistance in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to resolve patient care concerns and optimize service delivery.
- Operational Oversight:
- Manage bed allocation and patient placement to optimize occupancy and resource utilization.
- Coordinate with support services such as housekeeping, maintenance, and security to maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards related to hospital operations.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Serve as a liaison between different departments to facilitate efficient communication and problem-solving.
- Communicate relevant information to senior management and other stakeholders regarding operational issues, incidents, or notable events.
- Participate in meetings, committees, and projects to contribute to the continuous improvement of hospital operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, business management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience in healthcare management or supervisory roles, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
