Description
- Oversee and direct line supervisors to ensure that the phase meets its established targets and standards.
- Ensure adherence to Manufacturing related OTIF targets defined as per customer requirements.
- Carry out root cause analysis to understand deviations in performance vs standards to recommend and drive improvements.
- Ensure operating policies and procedures, as applicable, are being met with respect to both quantity and quality.
- Escalate and coordinate with the maintenance department to resolve equipment / instrumentation concerns.
- Bring out culture of innovation and continuous improvement through implementation of department initiatives.
- Ensure the realization of yield related targets as per the quantity produced by minimizing wastages, as applicable.
- Monitor the activities of workers engaged in manufacturing activities and identify improvements.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards / good manufacturing practices / any other statutory process compliances, as per site QMS and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to all procedures/compliances at the plant meeting all statutory and business requirements.
- Ensure that manufacturing activities are carried out keeping in mind the EHS Norms and internal guidelines.
- Ensure minimum wastage of materials (RM, PM, and FG) and maximum cost efficiency during the manufacturing process.
- Enable effective manpower planning mechanisms to ensure optimal resource deployment (material and personnel), in line with delivery requirements on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure efficiency in all the dimensions of manufacturing process like output, quality, waste, yield, safety, and overtime costs for the assigned phase.
- Minimize the number of hours lost due to accidents through robust implementation of safety guidelines.
- Ensure a productive and harmonious industrial relations climate within the assigned phase by ensuring adherence to established protocols.
- Identify training needs and areas for skill development for team members within the assigned phase, and coordinate with the relevant teams in HR to implement the same.
