Description

Sample Collection & Preparation: Collect and prepare patient samples (blood, urine, tissue, etc.) for analysis, ensuring proper labeling and handling according to lab protocols.
Laboratory Testing: Perform a variety of laboratory tests, including microbiological, chemical, hematological, and clinical analyses, using automated and manual techniques.
Quality Control: Ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results by adhering to quality control procedures and maintaining high standards in testing methodologies.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and calibrated regularly to ensure accurate test results.
Data Documentation: Accurately record test results, patient information, and other relevant data in lab records and ensure proper documentation for reference and compliance purposes.
Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols for handling hazardous materials, ensuring a safe and clean work environment for both staff and patients.
Sterilization & Cleaning: Sterilize laboratory tools, equipment, and surfaces, ensuring cleanliness and preventing contamination or cross-contamination of samples.
Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of laboratory reagents and supplies, ensuring timely procurement and proper storage to avoid shortages or expired materials.
Collaboration: Work with doctors, pathologists, and other medical professionals to ensure accurate test results and timely reporting for patient diagnosis and treatment.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with laboratory procedures, equipment malfunctions, or test discrepancies, escalating complex issues to senior staff when needed.
