Description
- Collect patient specimens, such as blood, urine, and tissue samples, using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Prepare samples for analysis by centrifuging, aliquoting, and labeling them accurately to maintain sample integrity and traceability.
- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures, including hematological, biochemical, microbiological, and immunological analyses, following established protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Operate laboratory equipment and instruments, such as microscopes, spectrophotometers, and automated analyzers, to perform tests and obtain accurate results.
- Conduct quality control checks on laboratory equipment, reagents, and test systems to ensure accuracy, precision, and reliability of test results.
- Document quality control data and troubleshoot any issues or deviations from expected results, following laboratory protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Analyze test results and interpret findings, identifying and flagging any abnormal or critical values for further review by medical staff.
- Prepare and distribute test reports and results accurately and timely to healthcare providers, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
