Roles and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage day-to-day lab activities, also ensuring efficient workflow and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with medical and technical staff to ensure smooth sample processing, accurate testing, and timely result reporting.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies and reagents to ensure uninterrupted lab operations.
• Support quality control and quality assurance processes to maintain accurate and reliable test results.
• Participate in proficiency testing and quality improvement initiatives, addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly.
• Ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines, accreditation requirements, and safety protocols.
• Assist in preparing for inspections and audits by regulatory bodies, addressing any findings as necessary.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to laboratory staff, promoting a positive work environment and fostering professional growth.
• Help with training new staff members, ensuring they understand lab protocols and safety measures.
• Assist in maintaining accurate and organized records of test results, patient information, and other relevant data.
• Identify areas for process optimization and operational efficiency, and propose and implement solutions.
• Contribute to emergency response protocols and procedures to ensure the lab's readiness to handle unexpected situations.

Skills we are looking for 

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in a clinical diagnostic laboratory setting, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong understanding of laboratory operations, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accuracy in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in laboratory settings.
