Description
- Conduct comprehensive medical assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and review of diagnostic tests, to formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans for patients admitted to the hospital.
- Assist in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients under the supervision of senior physicians, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines, protocols, and standards of care.
- Perform basic medical procedures and interventions, such as venipuncture, wound dressing, urinary catheterization, and nasogastric tube insertion, under the guidance and supervision of senior medical staff.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, laboratory results, and clinical progress, recognizing and responding promptly to changes in patient condition, and reporting concerns to the attending physician or senior medical team members.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, progress notes, treatment interventions, and discharge summaries in electronic medical records (EMR) or patient charts, ensuring completeness and compliance with documentation standards.
- Collaborate with nurses, allied healthcare professionals, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, address patient needs, and facilitate interdisciplinary communication and teamwork.
