Description

The Junior Consultant will be directly responsible for supervision of patient care in his unit with the assistance of Junior Residents, specially the emergency cases. He/ She will be contacted by the Junior Resident on duty in case of emergency.
The Junior consultant job description typically includes gathering and analyzing patient's diagnostic data, drawing conclusions and presenting findings in the form of recommendations to their Senior consultants.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examination, and diagnostic tests (e.g., endoscopy, imaging studies), to diagnose and manage ENT disorders and conditions.
Provide medical and surgical treatment for a wide range of ENT conditions, including but not limited to sinusitis, tonsillitis, otitis media, hearing loss, nasal polyps, vocal cord disorders, and head and neck tumors.
Perform surgical procedures, including adenoidectomies, tonsillectomies, septoplasties, tympanoplasties, mastoidectomies, sinus surgeries, and head and neck surgeries, as indicated for patient care.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including audiologists, speech therapists, radiologists, oncologists, and other specialists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for ENT patients.
Provide preoperative and postoperative care for surgical patients, including preoperative assessments, surgical consultations, perioperative management, and postoperative follow-up visits.
