- Patient Care: Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU, developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Emergency Response: Provide immediate and effective medical intervention for pediatric emergencies, stabilizing patients and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with nurses, pediatricians, surgeons, and other specialists to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care for patients in the PICU.
- Family Support and Education: Communicate effectively with patients’ families, providing them with information about diagnoses, treatment options, and emotional support during critical situations.
- Quality Assurance and Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and best practices in pediatric intensive care.
- Research and Education: Engage in clinical research and education, staying updated on the latest advancements in pediatric critical care medicine and training medical staff and residents.
- Monitoring and Documentation: Oversee the monitoring of vital signs and clinical data, ensuring accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in medical records.
