Description
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of patients upon admission and throughout their stay, including physical assessments, vital sign monitoring, and assessment of pain and other symptoms.
- Develop individualized nursing care plans based on patient assessments, medical diagnoses, and treatment goals, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed by physicians, adhering to medication safety protocols, dosage calculations, and medication administration guidelines.
- Monitor patients' conditions closely, including monitoring of vital signs, fluid intake and output, wound healing, and response to treatments, interventions, and medications.
- Perform nursing procedures and interventions as needed, including but not limited to IV therapy, wound care, urinary catheterization, tracheostomy care, and nasogastric tube insertion and maintenance.
- Provide patient and family education on disease management, treatment plans, medication use, self-care techniques, and discharge instructions to promote patient understanding and compliance with medical recommendations.
