Description
- Process billing for inpatient services, including hospitalization, surgeries, medications, and diagnostic tests.
- Verify patient admission details, insurance coverage, and billing information before generating bills.
- Ensure accurate entry of charges for various inpatient services, including room charges, doctor’s fees, lab tests, and other treatments.
- Coordinate with medical and administrative staff to clarify any discrepancies in patient billing and ensure all services are captured.
- Assist patients and their families with billing inquiries, explaining charges, insurance claims, and payment options.
- Prepare and submit insurance claims, following up on pending claims and ensuring timely reimbursement.
- Monitor and track patient accounts, updating billing records and ensuring that payments are processed efficiently.
- Handle and resolve any billing disputes or issues, including adjustments for incorrect charges.
- Generate and maintain reports on billing activity, outstanding balances, and payments.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, insurance regulations, and legal requirements regarding patient billing and privacy.
