Description

  • Prepare and generate accurate inpatient bills based on medical services, room charges, medications, diagnostics, and other hospital services used during a patient’s stay.
  • Ensure that all charges are accurately posted to the patient’s account according to the services rendered.
  • Coordinate with third-party administrators (TPA) and insurance companies to verify coverage, submit claims, and ensure timely reimbursement.
  • Manage pre-authorization requests for inpatient procedures and surgeries, ensuring approval before billing the patient.
  • Track and follow up on pending claims and ensure minimal delays in receiving payments from insurance providers.
  • Maintain and update patient accounts throughout their hospital stay, ensuring all financial transactions and services are recorded.
  • Assist patients and their families with understanding their hospital bills, insurance coverage, and any out-of-pocket expenses.
  • Resolve any billing discrepancies or issues with patients, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Process payments from patients, insurance companies, or TPAs, ensuring proper documentation and records.
  • Generate and issue receipts for payments made, and reconcile payments with patient accounts.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and unpaid bills, coordinating with patients or financial departments to clear dues.
