Description
- Diagnosing complex pulmonary diseases through advanced imaging, bronchoscopy, and other diagnostic tools.
- Performing interventional procedures such as bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), stent placement, and tumor biopsy to treat conditions like lung cancer, COPD, and airway obstructions.
- Managing airway disorders, including removing blockages, managing pleural effusions, and treating lung infections.
- Collaborating with thoracic surgeons, oncologists, and other specialists in the management of complex lung diseases and cancers.
- Monitoring patients before, during, and after interventional procedures to ensure optimal outcomes and manage complications.
- Providing advanced care for patients with severe respiratory conditions, including ventilator management and respiratory failure.
- Educating patients on respiratory health, treatment options, and rehabilitation following procedures.
- Conducting research on new interventional pulmonology techniques and staying updated with advances in the field.
- Participating in multidisciplinary case discussions, particularly for complex pulmonary and oncological conditions.
- Mentoring and training junior staff, fellows, and residents in interventional pulmonology techniques and patient management.
