Description

Provide advanced care to critically ill patients in the ICU, including management of life-support systems, ventilators, and other critical care technologies.
Lead daily rounds, assess patient conditions, and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
Collaborate with the ICU team to implement and monitor patient care plans effectively.
Implement evidence-based protocols and best practices to reduce ICU mortality and improve patient outcomes.
Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance the performance of the ICU.
Provide compassionate and clear communication with patients' families, offering support and information on treatment plans, prognosis, and care decisions.
Engage in regular counseling sessions with relatives to ensure they are well-informed and involved in the care process.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to provide coordinated care.
Mentor and train junior doctors and medical staff in critical care practices.
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies aimed at making Apex Hospital's ICU the best in the region.
Participate in regional and national forums to stay updated on the latest advancements in critical care medicine.
Act as a lead responder for ICU emergencies, ensuring timely and appropriate interventions.
Work closely with the emergency department to manage the care of critically ill patients during transfer to the ICU.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and outcomes.
