Job Description

1. Manage critically ill patients in ICU and high-dependency units.
2. Perform continuous monitoring and stabilization of vital functions.
3. Provide ventilator support and adjust settings as per patient condition.
4. Lead resuscitation during cardiac arrest and medical emergencies.
5. Diagnose and treat sepsis, respiratory failure and multi-organ dysfunction.
6. Insert and manage central venous, arterial lines and other invasive devices.
7. Coordinate with specialists, nurses and allied staff for comprehensive care.
8. Maintain detailed ICU records, daily progress notes and treatment plans.
9. Counsel patients’ families regarding condition, prognosis and treatment.
10. Ensure adherence to ICU protocols, infection control and quality standards.
11. Participate in ICU rounds, audits, teaching and continuous medical education.
