Description

Critical Care Management: Provide specialized medical care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), coordinating and managing their treatment plans.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurses, respiratory therapists, and other specialists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Patient Monitoring: Monitor and interpret physiological parameters, such as vital signs, laboratory results, and imaging studies, to assess patient conditions and make informed medical decisions.
Emergency Response: Lead or participate in emergency response situations within the ICU, applying advanced life support measures and critical care interventions as needed.
Ventilator Management: Oversee mechanical ventilation for patients requiring respiratory support, adjusting settings and assessing patient responses to optimize outcomes.
Diagnostic Procedures: Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures, such as bronchoscopy, arterial catheterization, and other interventions relevant to critical care medicine.
Patient and Family Communication: Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining medical conditions, treatment plans, and prognosis in a compassionate and understandable manner.
Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the ICU, staying abreast of advancements in critical care medicine and contributing to the enhancement of patient care protocols.
