APOLLO HOSPITAL, JABALPUR is an upcoming 300 Bed brand new hospital with State of Art Medical Technology on Patan Road in Jabalpur Madhya Pradesh. Apollo Hospital, Jabalpur operated and managed by Apollo Healthcare Enterprises Limited (AHEL) envisions becoming the one-stop destination for all medical treatment needs in Mahakoshal Region which has a population of around 3 Crores. The hospital is now ready for commissioning and expected to be operational by mid-July 2024.

Clinical Skills Desired Responsibilities:

  • The Intensivist should have core expertise in using the following medical equipment to provide life support or organ support systems to patients who are critically ill and require intensive monitoring.
  • Patients requiring intensive care are usually those who have hypertension/hypotension instability, airway or respiratory difficulties, acute renal failure, cardiac arrhythmias or multiple organ failure. Some patients enter intensive care for monitoring after major surgery.
  • Mechanical ventilation to assist breathing.
  • Hemofiltration equipment for acute renal failure.
  • Monitoring equipment
  • Intravenous lines
  • Nasogastric tubes
  • Suction pumps, drains, and catheters.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, as required, patients in the Intensive Care Unit, High Dependency Unit, or such other departments as deemed necessary.
  • Provide consultant expertise in - Ward Rounds - Out-Patient Clinics - Operative Surgical Lists (if appropriate). - On-call commitment - Consultation or other areas deemed appropriate by the hospital.
  • Plans, organizes, coordinates, directs and evaluates this care in collaboration with other patient care, and support disciplines in an environment of respect and dignity.
  • In concert with the CNO assists with organizing, developing, directing and managing the staffing functions of the Nursing Departments and ensuring the delivery of quality care.
  • Provide Nursing staff training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
  • To participate on the emergency duty rosters of the Hospital.
  • Update him/her in education and service technological and other advances.
  • Engage in Research, Administration and Audit.
  • Conducting rounds that involve patient review, daily rounds, review of labs and radiology, drug charts, compliance to protocols, and family counseling.
  • Liaising with the bedside team actively and providing critical care expertise in real time to augment the delivery of critical care to the patients.
  • Check-ins with regular intermittent rounds on sick patients and initiating appropriate actions with the help of the ICU nursing team in collaboration with the bedside team.
  • Actively participate in quality initiatives directed at the betterment of the ICUs Documenting patient-level data on real-time basis.
  • Responds to cardiac, and monitor alarms by identifying and interpreting cardiac rhythms and communicating appropriate information promptly to the primary nurse.
  • Ensures the comfort and safety of assigned patients at all times while on duty.
  • Supervises patient transfers to chair, bed, or stretcher as requested observing basic safety practices and principles of body mechanics.
  • Observe appropriate safety practices for patients including armbands, side rails, restraints, call light position, and toileting.
  • Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, route of administration, and stability, while recommending therapy changes to the providers and staff as appropriate.
  • Provide pharmaceutical care that includes evidence-based, cost-conscious recommendations, drug monitoring, pharmacokinetic evaluations, drug utilization review and documentation.

Annual Salary (Fixed and Variable) as per Market Standards and other parks like accommodation, Medical Treatment for Family and Transport are negotiable with the Annual Compensation Package. Notes 1. No private practice is permitted and the Consultant works exclusively for the hospital and this is non-negotiable. 2. The Consultant is under the administrative control of the Medical Director or any other designation fulfilling the same duties.
