Description

Provide comprehensive medical care to critically ill patients admitted to the intensive care unit.
Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients' conditions, including history-taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' clinical presentations, medical history, and diagnostic findings.
Manage and monitor advanced life support interventions, including mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic support, and renal replacement therapy.
Perform invasive procedures as needed, such as central venous catheterization, arterial line placement, and thoracentesis.
Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and consultants from various specialties.
Communicate effectively with patients' families, providing updates on patients' conditions, treatment plans, and prognosis with empathy and compassion.
Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds to discuss patients' progress, optimize care plans, and facilitate transitions of care.
