Description

Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control (IPC) programs to ensure patient and staff safety.
Conduct regular surveillance of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and report findings to relevant authorities or committees.
Educate and train healthcare staff on infection control policies, procedures, and best practices.
Ensure compliance with local, national, and international standards for infection prevention and control.
Investigate outbreaks of infection within the healthcare facility, identify sources, and implement corrective measures.
Monitor the sterilization and disinfection of medical equipment and the environment to maintain a sterile facility.
Develop and update infection control protocols and guidelines in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Conduct audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement in infection control practices.
Act as a resource person for infection-related issues, providing guidance to healthcare staff and patients.
Prepare and present reports on infection control activities and trends to management and infection control committees.
