Description

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate infection control policies, procedures, and protocols in accordance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Coordinate infection prevention and control activities, including surveillance, outbreak management, and environmental monitoring, to minimize the risk of HAIs.
  • Conduct surveillance activities to monitor and track healthcare-associated infections, antimicrobial resistance patterns, and other infectious disease trends.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret infection control data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare staff, including nurses, physicians, and ancillary personnel, on infection control principles, practices, and protocols.
  • Develop and deliver infection control orientation programs, in-service training sessions, and continuing education initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control regulations, guidelines, and accreditation standards issued by regulatory agencies (e.g., CDC, OSHA, Joint Commission).
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to assess compliance with infection control standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
