  • Develop, review, and update infection control policies, protocols, and guidelines in accordance with evidence-based practices, regulatory standards, and industry guidelines.
  • Implement infection prevention measures, including hand hygiene protocols, isolation precautions, environmental cleaning protocols, and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives, to reduce the risk of HAIs.
  • Conduct surveillance activities to monitor healthcare-associated infections, including tracking infection rates, identifying trends, and analyzing data to identify potential outbreaks or clusters.
  • Collaborate with infection control committees, epidemiologists, and public health authorities to report infectious disease outbreaks, investigate transmission routes, and implement control measures.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare staff on infection prevention and control practices, including proper hand hygiene techniques, personal protective equipment (PPE) use, and safe handling of infectious materials.
