Description

Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff on the ward, including supervision of nursing care activities, delegation of tasks, and management of staffing levels.
Conduct regular rounds to assess patient needs, monitor the quality of care, and provide guidance and support to nursing staff.
Coordinate with the nursing unit manager or nursing supervisor to address staffing needs, scheduling issues, and performance concerns.
Oversee the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients on the ward, ensuring smooth transitions and continuity of care.
Coordinate with healthcare providers, including physicians, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team, to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Ensure that nursing care activities are carried out effectively, safely, and in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
Provide clinical support and guidance to nursing staff, including assistance with complex patient cases, interpretation of policies and procedures, and resolution of clinical issues.
Facilitate ongoing education and training for nursing staff on relevant clinical topics, patient care protocols, and best practices in nursing care delivery.
Monitor the quality of nursing care provided on the ward, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies related to patient care, safety, and documentation.
