Description

  • Provide leadership and direction to nursing staff on the ward, including supervision of nursing care activities, delegation of tasks, and management of staffing levels.
  • Conduct regular rounds to assess patient needs, monitor the quality of care, and provide guidance and support to nursing staff.
  • Coordinate with the nursing unit manager or nursing supervisor to address staffing needs, scheduling issues, and performance concerns.
  • Oversee the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients on the ward, ensuring smooth transitions and continuity of care.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers, including physicians, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team, to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Ensure that nursing care activities are carried out effectively, safely, and in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
  • Provide clinical support and guidance to nursing staff, including assistance with complex patient cases, interpretation of policies and procedures, and resolution of clinical issues.
  • Facilitate ongoing education and training for nursing staff on relevant clinical topics, patient care protocols, and best practices in nursing care delivery.
  • Monitor the quality of nursing care provided on the ward, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies related to patient care, safety, and documentation.
