Description

Provide immediate assistance and support during medical emergencies in the ICU and emergency department, including cardiac arrest, trauma, respiratory distress, and other critical situations.
Monitor vital signs and patient condition closely, recognizing signs of deterioration or instability, and alerting healthcare team members promptly.
Assist with medical procedures performed in the ICU and emergency department, such as intubation, chest tube insertion, central line placement, arterial line insertion, and urinary catheterization.
Operate and troubleshoot medical equipment used in critical care and emergency settings, including ventilators, defibrillators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care and timely interventions.
Provide compassionate and supportive care to critically ill or injured patients, assisting with basic hygiene, positioning, feeding, and emotional support for patients and their families.
Follow established emergency protocols, disaster management procedures, and infection control practices to respond effectively to mass casualty incidents and infectious disease outbreaks.
Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment accurately and in a timely manner in medical records and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
