Job Summary:
- To perform clinical procedures in conjunction with the consultant, attend calls on duty, and prepare the patient summary reports as and when required. Supervise the ICU team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for carrying out routine procedures and ICU activities under the supervision of senior colleagues.
- Assist various invasive procedures and also be permitted to perform such procedures, if minor, independently, and if major, under the guidance and assistance of senior staff, i.e., specialists and/or consultants, as per the privileging list.
- Maintain proper records of procedures being conducted and the progress notes of the patients in the ICU as well as the information pertaining to the consultant records.
- Attend calls according to the call duty schedule.
- Be available in emergencies.
- Liaison with the ICU staff.
- Access HMS and make necessary changes/updates.
- Manage transfer-out/discharge/DAMA cases in conjunction with the HOD.
- Maintain CPR notes.
- Take daily rounds and make notes.
- Maintain the treatment sheet.
- Adhere to the ICU protocols pertaining to the medico-legal compliances.
- Take an active part in the CME activity of the department.
- Any other duty as assigned by the HOD from time to time.
Qualification: M.B.B.S with M.D (Medicine)/DNB (Medicine)/MD (Anesthesia)/DNB (Anesthesia)/MD (Respiratory Medicine)/DNB (Respiratory Medicine)
