Description
- Assess and manage critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Monitor vital signs, interpret lab results, and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Administer medications and interventions as necessary.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary medical team, including nurses, respiratory therapists, and other specialists.
- Communicate effectively with patients' families, providing updates on the patient's condition and addressing their concerns.
- Respond promptly to emergencies within the ICU.
- Participate in codes and resuscitation efforts as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment.
- Stay current with advancements in critical care medicine.
- Provide guidance and education to medical residents and other healthcare staff.
