<ul><li>Recruiting, supervising, and assisting with the training of correctional officers, maintenance staff, cooks, health care professionals, and counselors.</li><li>Ensuring all staff is familiar with the laws that govern prisoners and that they obey these laws as well as the rules of the prison at all times.</li><li>Monitoring staff and addressing any performance issues and scheduling training sessions where required.</li><li>Ensuring prison safety and security procedures are observed at all times, and that staff, inmates, and visitors remain protected.</li><li>Conducting investigations into any reports of inappropriate behavior or misconduct and taking disciplinary action.</li></ul>
